The season of the best symphonic, dark and, at times, hard prog acts such as Biglietto per l'Inferno, Balletto di Bronzo e Museo Rosenbach.
The debut album of the Genoese band has everything in the right place: large Mellotron carpets, mighty Moog, classical openings alternating with dark moments, a strong and passionate voice, plus solid and ever-changing rhythms.

"La Maschera di Cera" è un disco che opera una magia: quella di riportare indietro nel tempo e far rivivere la gloriosa stagione del prog italiano degli anni '70, quello più sinfonico, dark e, a tratti, hard di band quali Biglietto per l'Inferno, Balletto di Bronzo e Museo Rosenbach.

Nell'esordio della band genovese ci sono tutti gli elementi al posto giusto: grandi tappeti di Mellotron, possenti Moog, aperture classicheggianti alternate a momenti oscuri, una voce forte e passionale, una ritmica solida e cangiante. Il tutto al servizio di quattro composizioni-concept su un viaggio tra inferno e paradiso nelle quali immergersi e non fare più ritorno.

Anyone with an aversion to "contemporary prog" should listen to Wobbler and they'd realize that prog classics are not just confined to the 1970s. This album is just so tight on every level that if you'd have told me this was recorded in 1974, I'd have no basis for questioning it other than the lack of more prominent tape hiss.
